Copies and Interlibrary Loans

At the service desk, you can scan and copy material for personal use.

• Paper copies cost 2 SEK each.
• Scanning to your own email or USB drive is free of charge.
• Copy cards and USB drives are available for purchase at the service desk.
• You can order copies via email or phone if the request involves individual texts/sheet music and the work is copyright-free.

Copying and Copyright

Works are protected up to 70 years after the creator’s death and/or 50 years after publication. This means we cannot copy these works on behalf of others.

If you wish to obtain a copy of copyright-protected material, you can either copy it yourself when visiting us or request a copy as an interlibrary loan through your local library (this may not apply in the Stockholm area).

How to proceed: Your library should send a request to us by email at info@svensktvisarkiv.se or through the order form in the Vis- och låtregistret.

Copies of copyright-protected material are for personal use only and cannot be published without permission from the rights holder.

Copies of Recordings

Most recordings produced by the Music Library can be ordered for personal use. Individual recordings are free of charge, while larger orders cost 250 SEK per hour of playback time.
